210 acres in north-east and north of Little Coggeshall and in extreme south-east of Great Coggeshall. Shows field-names; names of adjacent owners; trees; gates; water, including [River Blackwater]. In addition to south-east corner of Great Goggeshall, shows houses at east end of East Street and immediately to north of Coggeshall Bridge. Buildings, including Abbey, chapel, watermills and Grange, drawn in perspective view. Scale bar and dividers; elaborate and boldly coloured cartouche of a design reminiscent of the Elizabethan cartographers; prominent black border of continuous interlacing pattern, including compass points.
